Well, what can be said about the last few days. I had a couple of late nights that threw my morning training schedule out the window and motivationally it was very hard to recover from that. However I bit the bullet as they say and got up for a run this morning.
Pre-Run – 04:40 am
Insulin status – last lantus 7:00 am 25/11/2013, last novorapid 8:45 pm 25/11/2013
Pre-run BGL – 7.1 mmol/L at 04:40 am
Distance run 8 km.
Today’s run was included 5 sets of 10 Push Ups.
Post-run BGL – 10.8 mmol/L at 6:40 am – Post run BGLs are back to where they started. It doesn’t take much for all the good work to be undone.
Breakfast – 5 pieces of streaky bacon and 3 eggs fried in Lard.
Breakfast insulin – 8 units of Lantus at 7:00 am, 4 units of Novorapid ( 2 to cover the Neoglucogensis from the bacon and 2 as a correction for the 10.8 ).
Lunch – 100 grams of cold Chipolata sausage and 100 grams of tasty cheese.
Lunch BGL – 4.9 mmol/L at 11:55 am
Lunch insulin – Nil
Dinner – 2 x Chicken Drumsticks, carrots, broccoli and beans
Dinner BGL – 7.0 mmol/L at 6:10 pm
Dinner Insulin – 6 units of Novorapid, ( 2 to cover the carrots and 4 to cover the Neoglucogensis from the chicken ).
Bedtime BGL – 8.1 mmol/L at 9:45 pm
Bedtime insulin – 3 to cover the continued Neoglucogensis from the chicken. I have noticed that chicken can really raise my BGL which is unusual for a white meat.
