Hopefully this will emphasize my position and the affects of exercise and insulin.<\/p>\n<p>Pre-Run &#8211; 04:45 am<br \/>\nInsulin status &#8211; last lantus 7:00 am 10\/11\/2013, last novorapid 6:30 pm 10\/11\/2013<\/p>\n<p>Pre-run BGL &#8211; 7.0 mmol\/L at 04:50 am<\/p>\n<p>Distance run 8 km with the addition of 12 chin-ups.<br \/>\nI run a loop that includes a park with an exercise circuit. I will be including Chin Ups and Push Ups as part of my training regime.<\/p>\n<p>Post-run BGL &#8211; 14.5 mmol\/L at 6:30 am &#8211; A higher BGL post run is to be expected for the first week. It takes a while for the body adjust to exercise and diminish the fight or flight response.<\/p>\n<p>Breakfast &#8211; 6 strips of streaky bacon and 3 eggs fried in Lard.<br \/>\nBreakfast insulin &#8211; 8 units of Lantus at 7:00 am, 10 units of Novorapid ( 8 as a correction for the 14.5 and 2 to cover the Neoglucogensis from the bacon ).<\/p>\n<p>Lunch &#8211; 60 grams of Danish Salami and  40 grams of fried steak.<br \/>\nLunch BGL &#8211; 4.1 mmol\/L at 12:05 pm<br \/>\nLunch insulin &#8211;  Nil<\/p>\n<p>Dinner &#8211; Mince bolognais, carrots, broccoli and beans<br \/>\nDinner BGL &#8211; 8.0 mmol\/L at 8:30 pm<br \/>\nDinner Insulin &#8211; 8 units of Novorapid,  2 as a correction for the 8.0 and 6 to cover the Mince bolognais.<\/p>\n<p>Bedtime BGL &#8211; 10.3 mmol\/L at 9:15 pm<br \/>\nBedtime insulin &#8211; 4 units of Novorapid as a correction for under estimating dinner.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>11-11-2013 I have decided to record my pre-run insulin status as well because I have been having some discussions about exercise and insulin on Facebook with other Type 1&#8217;s.
